What would you do with a day off?  If your boss called and told you everything is closed today (say for a solar eclipse or something!).  What would you do?  Several of you would go fishing!  There seem to be two types of people – those who love to fish and those who do not.  Those who love to fish find it relaxing and would gladly spend a day out on the water.

Several of Jesus’ disciples would fall into the “I like to fish” group.  They spent much of their lives before meeting Jesus out on the lake.  In John 21, we find them there again.  However, this fishing trip will change their lives forever…not by meeting Jesus (they’ve already done that) but because Jesus want to restore their broken relationship and this relationship leads to something.
