Jesus finally uses a metaphor we comprehend today without any pause – He is the door.  We uses doors all day, every day.  We immediately understand the word picture that He is painting about being the way into eternity.  But past understanding the imagery, how do we really feel about the concept?  Jesus as the door… the ONLY door… that’s not a concept that sits well today in our world.  While Jesus as the only door sounds quite restrictive, there is perhaps more expressed in these simple words that just a singular entry point.
