At some point in our lives, whether after falling asleep on a car ride or waking up one morning to head off to work, we all ask the question “how did I get here?”  We all find ourselves questioning how our current situation arose.  What did we do or not do to get us “here,” wherever our “here” happens to be.  No matter where your “here” is, to find the answer, you have to go back to the beginning.  Ultimately, we all have the same beginning and we find that in Genesis 1:1.  From “in the beginning” we can move through the timeline of God, Creation, Humanity, and ultimately Sin.  These are the theological foundations to everything we are today.  How did we get here?  Let’s start at the beginning of the story…
