Sometimes when we read a narrative in the Old Testament, the story is exciting and full of action but we are left wondering “what am I supposed to DO with this story? How do I apply it to my life today?” Numbers 25 is one of those stories. While the zeal Phinehas demonstrates is commendable, grabbing spears is probably not the answer for us today. Instead, as we study this story, we find a much larger call for our lives echoing from Phinehas to Paul to Jesus Himself!
