First Thessalonians chapter 5 calls us to pray, give thanks, and praise God at all times. But what happens when I’m not feeling very thankful? How do I come into my time with God if I’m not feeling very full of praise? Do I “fake it until I make it?” In the back of the Old Testament, we find a guy who was probably asking some similar questions. He decided to simply bear his soul to God and share his real, raw emotions. And guess what – it became scripture. Habakkuk lays the groundwork for what it looks like for us to “complain” to God and live in step with Him.
